Gold Apple Watches Available for Over $10,000

According to articles by Reuters, the Associated Press and The Guardian UK, the Apple watch has some very high-end models for people who don’t know where to spend their money.

Regular versions of the watch are available between US$349 and US$549 while the high-end “Edition” watches range between US$10,000 and US$17,000. Why? Because they’re made with 18-karat gold alloys.

Who would spend that kind of coin on a watch? It sold out in under an hour in China.

According to Reuters, there were lineups in central Shanghai Apple stores.

In London, those interested in ordering the watch are encouraged to doso online, but according to a Guardian UK article, there are some stores in London where you can try the gold watch on before committing to any purchase. The caveat is you have to book an appointment. This is, after all, a gold watch.
