HOT TOYS REVEALS PREDATOR, JOKER, AND IRON MAN EXCLUSIVE FIGURES
The suit wasn't cheap.
Every year Hot Toys tends to introduce a few “Toy Fairs Exclusive” action figures that are sold at various collectibles shows and conventions in Asia. This year is no different. Hot Toys’ three 2014 Toy Fairs exclusives series will feature three stunningly detailed and lifelike figures pulled from some of their most popular franchises – Predator, the Dark Knight trilogy, and the Iron Man films. Scroll down for image galleries and details about all three upcoming releases (including where to order them online).
First up is the Ancient Predator, based on the flashback scene from the first Alien vs. Predator movie. This figure measures a little under 14-inches tall and includes the usual slate of accessories – swappable hands, masked and unmasked heads, and a detailed diorama base. This figure was designed and sculpted by Joseph Tsang. It’s currently available for pre-order on Sideshow Collectibles’ website for $274.99.
Next is the Bank Robber Joker 2.0 figure. Based on the opening scene fromThe Dark Knight, this is an updated version of the Bank Robber Joker originally released back in 2009. It measures 12-inches tall and features improved paint work and costume tailoring and a slightly different lineup of accessories (an alternate masked head and a new backdrop display among them). This head sculpt was designed by Yulli, while the art design was handled by J.C. Hong. The figure is currently available for pre-order onSideshow’s website for $269.99.
Finally, collectors determined to own a figure for each and every one of the 42 armors in Tony Stark’s armory will get one step closer with the release of the Python Armor (Mark XX) Iron Man. The figure measures about 12-inches tall and features several switch-out parts and an LED light-up function. It also includes a display stand with a flexible pillar that allows for mid-flight poses. The figure was available for pre-order for $269.99 on Sideshow’s website, but it’s currently sold out and wait-listed.
All three figures will be available for sale directly through Hot Toys at upcoming conventions in Asia. Those who pre-ordered from Sideshow can expect the figures to ship later this month.
