Sziget Festival is one of the largest music festivals in the world and certainly the best party-filled week of the year in Hungary. Around 400,000 people come every August to the ‘Sziget’ for a week of music and entertainment. The organizers teamed up to present the hottest concerts of the day featuring well known international artists, the cream of Hungarian bands and rising stars.

2014 marks the 22nd anniversary of Sziget Festival.
Advance tickets are available online until July 31, 2014.
A weekly pass with camping is EUR 229 (EUR 249 after July 31)
A 5-day non-camping pass is EUR 199 EUR (EUR 209 after July 31) A day pass is EUR 50 EUR (EUR 55 after July 31) |

The ‘Festival Card’ (Fesztiválkártya) is the only form of payment accepted at Sziget.
The original card comes with a zero balance and needs to be topped up (cash or cc accepted, for cc HUF 100 fee applies).
Should you have a remaining balance on the card, it can be cashed in during the festival only.

Getting to Sziget Festival
The main entrance to Sziget Festival is at Mozaik utca in District 3, Óbuda.
Take the Suburban Railway (HÉV) from Batthyány tér to Filatorigát. Batthyány tér is easily accessible by Subway (M2) and several Streetcars and Buses.
Getting to Sziget from Budapest Airport
Take airport bus No. 200 to Kőbánya-Kispest subway station (M3).
Take the subwayto Árpád híd.
Take streetcar No. 1 or 1A to Szentlélek tér (2 stops towards Bécsi út).
Take the suburban railway (HÉV) to Filatorigát (1st stop towards Szentendre/Békásmegyer).
Getting to Sziget from Déli pályaudvar (Southern Railway Station)
Take subway M2 to to Batthyány tér.
Take the suburban railway (HÉV) to Filatorigát (5th stop towards Szentendre/Békásmegyer).
Getting to Sziget from Nyugati pályaudvar (Western Railway Station)
Take streetcars No. 4 or 6 to Margit híd (Margaret Bridge, Buda side), towards Moszkva tér.
Take the suburban railway (HÉV) to Filatorigát (4th stop towards Szentendre/Békásmegyer).
Getting to Sziget from Keleti pályaudvar (Eastern Railway Station)
Take subway M2 to to Batthyány tér.
