A nine-year-old in Arizona has accidentally killed her weapons instructor with an Uzi.
The official conclusion is that the recoil caused her to lose control.
Charles Vacca, 39, of Lake Havasu City, AZ, died Monday night, 8/25, during the race to treat his wounds.
The girl’s mother released this video a day later. It is Vacca’s final moment before death.
The sheriff’s office said that the accident happened around 10 a.m. Monday at an outdoor shooting range ironically named the Last Stop in White Hills near the Nevada-Arizona border.
The girl was handling a 9 mm automatic Uzi. She shot once and immediately lost control. Her arm flew up and back spraying four more bullets, one of which struck her instructors head.
The man was airlifted to UMC where he died during treatment.
Fox5 quoted the sheriff as saying:
It’s so easy for us to go back and look at something that’s very tragic and say, ‘Boy! Why did that occur? That should not have happened because of [blank]. Well, maybe from now on, that ‘because of’ will be in place.
Accidents happen. That’s all there is to it.
