Deputy Stan Lennick, Albany County Sheriff’s Department, smiles big as he chooses to support the rights of filmmakers Jason Bermas and Ashley Jessicaat the airport. They were passing out free information as part of The Campaign for Human Dignity and Freedom regarding passenger rights to opt out of scanners.
It was touching to see this man under pressure from the airport authority choose to support the activists and to make the airport authority stand down and refrain from harassing them. Cops are human beings and want to do the right thing. It can be hard to relinquish power, but as Officer Lennick proves, it’s easier the quicker you do it. He instantly chose the right side of the line to stand on.
Watch the footage and prepare to be impressed.
Consider making a positive phone call on behalf of Officer Lennick.
